Jeff Trippe is a writer, illustrator, and musician. He has taught literature and writing for many years to high-school and middle-school students. He held a fellowship in the Creative Writing Program at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where he studied under novelists Harry Crews and Smith Kirkpatrick.

After receiving his MA, Jeff earned his professional stripes as a daily reporter for the St. Augustine Record and as sports editor for Clay Today in Orange Park, Florida. His work as a freelance wordsmith has included many pieces for various online and print publications as well as several books ranging from research-based nonfiction to novels for younger readers.

He is also a working musician and has been a two-time finalist in the Will McLean New Florida Song Contest and a three-time finalist in the New England Songwriting Contest.

Although born and raised in the southern U.S., Jeff lives today in Coastal Maine with his wife Laura.
